NACAC is has partnered with Carers UK, a large UK non-profit organization that provides a range of resources to carers in the UK through their website  and associated programs.

These include instructions and tips on how to create ‘circles of care’ as well as opportunities to connect with other carers and to share best practices.

Carers UK has developed the easy-to-use Jointly app that helps carers develop a “circle of care” that organizes and coordinates all the information, tasks, and individuals involved in a person’s care. The Jointly app has been successfully used for over a decade by over 30,000 carers in the UK.

Jointly is being brought to the United States by the nonprofit National Association of Community Aging Circles (NACAC), which offercaregivers in the U.S. free access to the Jointly app. NACAC has developed training materials to facilitate the use of the Jointly app and will offer online training to assist families in setting up their circles of care.

Jointly is an easy-to-use app that works on smartphones, tablets, and computers. It helps families stay organized by coordinating and communicating all the caregiving tasks. With a clear menu of features, everyone in the ‘circle of care’ can see what needs to be done, share updates, and coordinate schedules and responsibilities. Using Jointly can reduce the day-to-day challenges of caring for a family member at home by making coordination easier and stress more manageable.

The primary caregiver can invite as many people as needed to participate in the ‘circle of care’ and assign each person specific tasks or roles. To protect the privacy of the person being cared for, the primary caregiver can also control what information and app functions each member of the ‘circle of care’ can access.
